Community Service is an extremely important part of my life. As a member of the Brentwood Rotary Club for more than 5 years, I have served as Membership Director for two years and have been the Community Service Director for the past two years as well. "Service Above Self" is more than a belief Rotarian's share. It is the way we do business.
When Hurricane Katrina and Rita ravaged the Gulf Coast in 2005, I knew that there was something we could do to respond to the needs of our fellow Americans. Together with the help of East County residents, businesses and fellow Rotarian's, we sent three 18 wheelers to Texas, Mississippi and Louisiana bringing critical need supplies into the hands of families who had lost everything. Receiving the "Humanitarian of the Year Award" from the Brentwood Rotary Club is a tremendous honor and I share this award with a friend, Ty Washburn and the more than 80 volunteers who helped in our efforts.
I am also a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society, having served as the Relay For Life Publicity & Media Chair for a 3rd year. In 2007 we raised more than $300,000 for the American Cancer Society, Relay For Life of Brentwood. Read more at www.110mag.com/archives/0604/0604g/0604g.shtml
My wife and I met in college in 1993 while attending California State University San Marcos in San Diego. I graduated with a B.S. Business Administration Management degree and my wife completed her B.A. Liberal Studies and Teaching Credential. We have been married for more than 13 years and have two amazing kids. My wife has taught elementary school for more than 8 years. We enjoy spending quality time together and encouraging our children in youth sport programs.
We have relocated to the San Diego area and are excited about the plans God has for our family.
